A researcher should be able to read the evidence for a lot before ordering it, and check the vial against that evidence when it arrives. The store is built around that one idea.

We would rather be checked than believed. Each line is something the store does, with the page where you can see it for yourself.

The release rule
Six checks before a lot is listed.
HPLC purity at or above the release minimum. An observed average mass on record. That mass within ±1.0 Da of the average mass calculated from the sequence. A test date, a testing laboratory and the certificate file, each on record. The store checks every lot against all six before it can go on sale.
